This was a roofing, siding, and windows project that was completed in Livonia. Starting with the roof, our carpenters built new overhangs on the rear gable of the home and fixed a couple other overhangs that were sagging. This gave the home a much more finished look and will help keep water out of the attic. The homeowner picked an architectural shingle by Tamko.
After the roof was finished, it was onto the windows. This Livonia homeowner chose the Mastic 5000 Series. This is a very well made vinyl replacement unit made by PlyGem. We installed double hung windows with white interiors and sandstone exteriors to match the siding and trim. Grills were added to the top sashes of each unit to give the windows a classic look.
Lastly, the siding, windows, trim and new overhead door were installed. Again, the homeowner chose Mastic Siding for both the siding and trim. The color combination of the “Wicker” trim, soffit, and gutters against the Carved wood “Rugged Canyon” siding creates a beautiful contrast.
The Livonia owner wanted to do something a little different on the front of the house to really make it stand out, so we suggested a specialty siding by CertainTeed called Cedar Impressions. These rugged panels create the look of real wood shakes but without the maintenance. The customer was extremely pleased with the fantastic look. But what really stands out on the front of the house is the new overhead door. This elegant looking door by Richards Wilcox has a wood grain texture embossed on the panels—the look of wood with the strength of steel.
